Killa Cam Comes Out Verbally Firing At Jay Z
By: SoundSlam Published: Jan. 19, 2006 - New York, NY
One might presume that it is about to get ugly! And apparently Cam’ron just loves it. The Harlemite rapper once signed to Roc-A-Fella underneath Hov has just released two diss tracks aimed at Jay Z, one entitled “You Just Got To Love It” and the other named “Swagger Jacker (A Biter Not A Writer),” which uncovers a host of artists, lyrics and rhyme schemes that Jay has used as his own.
On “You Just Got To Love It,” Cam’ron begins the track with a five-point discourse on why he dislikes Jay Z. Killa Cam then delves into his first verse covering topics from Jay’s alleged rhyme biting (“You ain’t the only one with big wallets…But your publishing should go to Ms. Wallace”). Ironically, this is not the first time that Jay has been cited as a biter, as SoundSlam previously aired a story on it last April.
Cam’ron continued to comment on Jay Z’s age (“I know he 40 years old/ I don’t respect my elders”), his fashion choices (“But we tote handles/ At your open-toed sandals/ And you look like Joe Camel”), as well as Beyonce (“Beyonce’s fiancé/ Check my second LP/ I might bring it back/ That’s your girl/ That’s your world/ Had your thing f***ing singing about slinging crack”).
Cam also cites that his camp is ready for fifteen rounds despite the fact that this is the first. Ironically, Cam’s close compadre, Juelz Santana, is caught in the middle between his Dipset family and his Jay Z-Def Jam label relationship.
More is anticipated to surface in coming weeks or months. Stay tuned to SoundSlam for the latest news on this topic.
